アバウト Katie E

Amidst a rise in youth organizing, Katie equips youth-led advocacy organizations with the connections, resources, and encouragement they need to grow.

Growing up in a small suburb of Wisconsin, Katie felt isolated in her personal commitment towards social change. In 4th grade, she mobilized her classmates to participate in a sit-in to have boys and girls play together in gym class. When she was 13, she started a social venture, called Kids Tales, to promote creative writing and self-expression amongst her peers. In the wake of the Parkland shooting and March for Our Lives, Katie identified a group of like-minded peers who joined her in the 50 Miles More March in Wisconsin to demand for gun reform.

Katie, realizing an opportunity to connect young changemakers, collaborated with other Gen Z organizers to gather a network of 35 youth-led advocacy organizations and hundreds of independent young organizers. Together, they created Future Coalition to ensure young people have the knowledge, support, and tools they need to create change at any scale. Today, Katie is co-organizing the upcoming generation combating the climate crisis, gun violence, and social inequities around the world.
