Ana is the director of Next Now, an Ashoka international program that seeks to accelerate systemic change in the world's most pressing challenges: Gender, Climate Change, Technology, and Aging.
Ana began her career in the social change sector as the head of a Center for Minors at Risk of Social Exclusion in Entrevías, a project supported by Cáritas. She later became the head of the Development Education Department at Fundeso. During this time, she directed the Center for Participation and Integration of Spanish-African Immigrants in the Community of Madrid. Her next step was at 1 kilo de Ayuda as Director of Fundraising and Institutional Development. She also directed the Family Support Center for the Community of Madrid. She was the Director of Ashoka Spain for five years and currently belongs to the Ashoka Global Management Team. She holds a degree in Psychology from the Autonomous University of Madrid and furthered her training with a diploma in Social Sciences from the University of Kent in England. She also holds a Master's degree in Humanities from the Francisco de Vitoria University and a Master's degree in Clinical and Health Psychology from the Complutense University of Madrid.
She is the mother of four daughters. She says that being a Scout throughout her youth, both as a child and later as a leader, has taught her to understand that things can be changed, and that each of us can and should improve the world.
