We work with leading social entrepreneurs, corporations, the finance industry, and public institutions to address the world’s toughest problems. We cover topics ranging from civic engagement and full economic citizenship to youth, environment, health and human rights. And we’re on an ambitious mission: to change whole mindsets and systems towards an “Everyone a Changemaker”-world. A world where everyone can embrace their agency, live with dignity, has the skills to solve problems, and creates positive change for the common good.
We’re looking for a person to support us with our programs and help us manage and weave our communities. This includes our Youth Changemaker Program Generation Changemaker, which was launched by Ashoka Austria and is driven by the purpose of every young person self-identifying as a changemaker. Furthermore, the Ashoka Visionary Program which is our pioneering, part-time leadership program for social entrepreneurs, as well as professionals and leaders from business, NGOs, philanthropic, and public sectors from all over the world.
HERE IS YOUR CHALLENGE:
- Ensuring the smooth operations of the Visionary Program and weaving together the community of participants, alumni and speakers
- Supporting & Co-Creating our Call for young changemakers and the young changemakers program Generation Changemaker
- Support the coordination and implementation of formats such as the Demokratie MutTankstelle and others
- Weaving together the different beautiful parts of the Ashoka community in Austria
WE ARE LOOKING FOR AN ENTREPRENEURIAL INDIVIDUAL, WHO
has at least 2 years of professional experience.
- has built and/or led programs and entrepreneurial initiatives.
- is comfortable working with databases / Excel/ CRM.
- has intercultural competence, since our work expands the Austrian borders.
- has a university degree or an equivalent of professional experience.
- has strong implementation and organizational skills (including working digitally).
- has great command of German & English.
- has interest in social entrepreneurship and youth empowerment.
- is highly organized, structured, and motivated.
- is proactive and solution-oriented.
WHAT WE OFFER:
- Entrepreneurial freedom combined with working for an internationally renowned organization (Ashoka has been ranked 7th on NGO Advisor's annual list of the world's most impactful social good organizations 2024 - see here)
- 20 hours/week (0,5 FTE); one-year limited contract
- Starting gross monthly salary of 1000 EUR for 20 hours/week (14x), aligned with our global salary framework of overpayment depending on qualifications and experience
- A working space a beautiful, modern and very central co-working space where you will be meeting other foundations & civil society organizations from the community of Haus der Philanthropie, 1010 Wien, Alte Börse
- Remote & flexible working arrangements
