Ashoka Fellow Rosanne Haggerty’s Community Solutions/Built for Zero is a network of 80+ communities across the U.S. – all sizes and political persuasions - committed to ending chronic homelessness. They hold each other accountable, share pain points and best strategies, use real-time data, and together inform public policy in the U.S. and elsewhere - with the goal of making homelessness, when it happens, “rare and brief.” The result? So far, 14 communities have achieved and are maintaining "functional zero" homelessness, and dozens more are on track to do so.
