The art of letting go: Why a changing world requires you to open up, not bunker down.
This is the second webinar in the Navigating the Future series.
Change itself is changing.
When Ashoka started supporting social entrepreneurs 40 years ago, the world had a sense of permanence about it. Where entrenched ways of doing things had negative impacts, we supported Fellows who used innovation to unlock change. For large organizations change could feel like a comfortable process: technological, social, and environmental change all behaving somewhat predictably. Today, however, as we stand at the beginning of a new decade, that sense of permanence has been replaced by one of flux.
No matter how big, how powerful, how capable, an organization is, the scale and complexity of the change we face today means no one can go alone. The skills, passion, knowledge, and inspiration needed to solve the world’s problems do not exist in one place, they are distributed. Today’s challenges require the creativity not of one organization, but of everyone.
In this webinar we will discuss how leading companies and entrepreneurs are embracing open innovation and collaboration to harness the problem-solving skills of not just one individual, department or organization, but of changemakers everywhere.
We’ll hear from our panelists on their experience with opening up. Speakers include :
• Mélanie Marcel, Founder and CEO of SoScience and Ashoka Fellow
• Alison Coates, Global Head of Future Skills, HSBC
• Christian Vousvouras, Public Affairs Manager, Nestlé
• Maria Cristina Papett, Head of Global Sustainability Infrastructure & Networks, Enel Group
We’ll then open up the floor for Q&A before going into breakout rooms for deeper discussions.
Looking forward to seeing you then.
