YOUTH LEADERSHIP
FOR EMERGING FUTURE

When young leaders work together and influence the future, entire systems change.

Today, we are building strong communities ready for the challenges of tomorrow.

The rapid pace of change and the complexity of interrelated crises require collective action. To meet new challenges, we need new approaches, courage, and cooperation.

Youth Leadership for Emerging Future is a program in which Ashoka, Save the Children and the Humanitarian Leadership Academy join forces to empower local leaders who are working for their communities and are catalysts for systemic change.

We create the conditions for building valuable collaborations and supportive networks, establishing lasting relationships and intergenerational knowledge sharing. We combine the experience of the humanitarian sector and the perspective of young leaders of social action to complement each other.

This will create a strong network of young changemakers who have the resources and capacity to take action on a challenge and make a lasting difference in the world around them.

COOPERATION

Every problem seems smaller when you have the support of others. Together we can achieve broad impact, share knowledge and responsibility. Inclusive, local and collaboratively created initiatives allow us to act quickly in the face of a challenge.

SELF-AGENCY

Supporting others is not only about direct assistance, but also about empowerment to discover one's own strength. We want to build the belief that each person can influence their environment. We need everyone's involvement to solve the complex challenges of modern times.

WELL-BEING

By working together with others, we can relax and take care of ourselves, knowing that no one will be left without support. Enthusiasm and creativity are the sparks that begin the positive change - we make sure they don't burn out.

SUSTAINABILITY

With lasting relationships and a network of support, it is easier to maintain a positive impact and act strategically. When the community is sharing tools, resources and knowledge, there is a sense of security.

Growing a sense of empowerment

The ecosystem of support for young changemakers can be compared to a city in which different institutions play different roles. The school gives social action skills, the bank gives funding, and the greenhouse helps move from idea to project. We mapped 90 organizations that support young changemakers - see who supports them.
