Ashoka East Africa Learning Lunches
Diversity, Equity, Inclusivity Edition
At Ashoka East Africa, we are convinced that a diverse team with a broad mix of demographics, skills, ethnicity, race, faiths, and experiences is twice as likely to meet or exceed target as those without, three times as likely to be high-performing and six times more likely to be innovative as shown by various research.
We have kicked off a series of dialogues involving team members under the auspices “Learning Lunch” to trigger interest among teams across Africa diamond to support the organizational-wide initiative to have diversity, equity, and inclusion as an integral part of our culture. We also purpose to use the series to collate insights to contribute to Ashoka’s global efforts on DEI and encourage team members to have open conversations on DEI issues. Finally, we are using this initiative to support Diamond integration and in marking Ashoka East Africa’s 20th anniversary.
These semi-informal, semi-structured conversations will be held every month from May to December 2021.
