Ashoka has pioneered the field of social entrepreneurship globally over the last 35 years through the search and selection of Ashoka Fellows (social entrepreneurs) in 92 countries. Amongst the Fellowship there are two Nobel Peace Prize winners; over 50% of Fellows have changed national policies and laws within 3 years of election; and over 90% have seen independent replication of their innovations.
Since launching in Belgium in 2007, we have elected and supported 10 Fellows who have positively impacted the lives of thousands of people.
In Belgium, these Fellows are active in the fields of Education, Health, Criminal Justice, Environment, Inclusion and Economic Development
