About Ashoka Indonesia
Ashoka Indonesia was founded in 1983 as the second country office after India. Ashoka Indonesia have selected and supported ca. 180 Ashoka Fellows from across Indonesia working on various field: health, education, environment, economy, and civic participation.
Ashoka envisions an Everyone A Changemaker world: a world that responds quickly and effectively to social challenges, and where each individual has the freedom, confidence and societal support to address any social problem and drive change, starting from one’s very own family, community, city, country, and the world.
For other changemakers who have not been through the Ashoka Venture selection process, Ashoka Indonesia redirects them to Ashoka Changemakers, an online platform to gather and connect changemakers in order to facilitate learning and collaboration.
Ashoka Indonesia is also on the way to cultivate changemakers through child and youth year program, instilling the importance of applied empathy, leadership, teamwork, and the opportunity to drive change as the prerequisite skills of mastering changemaking.
