We are delighted to invite you to an inspiring and exclusive online conversation with Dutch Fellow Dennis Karpes on November 12th from 12.00 to 13.30 pm.
Elected in 2009 as the first Ashoka Fellow in the Netherlands, Dennis is the founder of Justdiggit, a global social movement for climate action that jumpstarts landscape restoration programmes.
- Justdiggit's vision is to restore entire ecosystems using community-based water harvesting, agro-forestry and climate resilient agriculture.
- Besides current large-scale projects in Kenya and Tanzania, Justdiggit will soon start in Uganda, Malawi and Ethiopia.
- The organisation has big ambitions for the continent of Africa; The goal is to support the 28 countries within the AFR100 (the African Forest Landscape Restoration Initiative) who pledged to bring 100 million hectares of land in Africa into restoration by 2030.
Dennis Karpes has been acknowledged as an inspirational social entrepreneur and recognised public speaker.
