Para llevar adelante nuestro propósito, a lo largo de los años hemos desarrollado fuertemente tres pilares del trabajo de la organización:
Emprendimiento Social
Buscamos, seleccionamos y apoyamos emprendedores sociales con potencial de cambio sistémico.

Promovemos la cultura emprendedora y la innovación social en más de 95 países del mundo.

Conformamos la red más grande del mundo con más de 3500 Emprendedores Sociales.

Abordamos problemáticas desde una perspectiva sistémica, es decir, orientada a crear cambios en los sistemas que generan el problema que aborda.
Niñez y Juventud

Promovemos una cultura donde niños, niñas y jóvenes se reconozcan y se activen como agentes de cambio.

Trabajamos en conjunto con escuelas, universidades, organizaciones juveniles, organismos de gobierno y familias para impulsar una cultura de agencia de cambio.

Equipamos con confianza y habilidades de cambio a los jóvenes para que puedan hacer frente con mayor eficacia a los retos sociales, ambientales y económicos.

Promovemos alianzas que buscan sumar a la visión de un mundo donde “Todos somos agentes de cambio” a través de una estrategia colaborativa que nos permita escalar el impacto.

Angelika Roth
Director, Venture and Fellowship
Angelika cuenta con experiencia de trabajo en diferentes organizaciones sociales y en proyectos de cooperación internacional en Argentina, Ecuador, Brasil y Alemania. Angelika estudió Economía y Estudios Latinoamericanos en la Universidad de Passau en Alemania y Relaciones Internacionales en la Universidad Católica de Córdoba en Argentina. Desde el 2011 está trabajando para Ashoka y actualmente está dirigiendo Venture y Fellowship - la búsqueda y el apoyo de Emprendedores Sociales en Ashoka México y Centroamérica. La preocupación por las desigualdades que enfrentan las personas en países en desarrollo, motivaba a Angelika, que originalmente es de Alemania, a involucrarse en temas de cambio social.
Brenda Villegas
Children and Youth Leader
Brenda leads the Children and Youth initiative for Ashoka Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean, she is Co-founder and Director of Conciencias Unidas A.C. and is part of the global youth network “Global Changemakers”. She has a degree in Marketing and is a Master in Educational Innovation for Sustainability. Brenda has represented the voice of youth in different organizations, movements in national and international events, she is a facilitator of learning experiences to promote changemaking and her dream is a world where we have more spaces of hope that allow us to recognize ourselves and act as changemakers.

I have been working in the Ecosystem of Social Innovation since 2015 and I currently collaborate as Leader of Partnerships for Ashoka Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean and as a Consultant in Entrepreneurship and Social Innovation, Geomarketing and Market Research.
María Cerdio

Maria is currently the Venture and Fellowship Coordinator at Ashoka Mexico, Central America and the Caribbean. She is also Latin America Consultant at the Global Fund For Women and a Young Associate at the Mexican Council on Foreign Relations (COMEXI), a foreign policy think tank. Prior to Ashoka, Maria worked in social impact consulting with Nosotrikos where she designed strategies for environmental and social impact management for the energy sector in Mexico. In addition, Maria was a Public Information intern at the UN in Mexico and a Research Assistant at the LSE United States Centre. Maria holds a BSc in Social Anthropology from the London School of Economics. She has conducted field work in 3 continents researching issues on gender, education, migration, and sustainable development.

International human rights advocate, with an deep and inherent curiosity about innovative solutions to foster social change, I have been working in the field of social policies, while writing a PhD thesis on the need to overcome the gap existing between the international legal protection of liberal rights vs social rights. My current work at Ashoka Venture & Fellowship, is giving me the opportunity to consolidate my profile and to get in contact with people who see social challenges as also offering exciting possibilities for improving our ability to meet global needs.
