Last day - Leadership Day

Today was the third and last day of the Dela Summit. The day was a time for the Social Entrepreneurs to reflect and get to know each other better. Together we have experienced two fun and hectic days, so therefore today was a chance for all to take a step back, and for the first time since we got here, we went outside the IKEA Head Office.

During the day all Social Entrepreneurs were divided into coaching circles. For example, the participants reflected on their journey and about how the Dela Accelerator has affected them and their organization. They talked about systems change, their families and how their organizations has developed over the past year.

“In this rollercoaster life you need to laugh because that is how you stay alive.” - Fernando Assad, Social Entrepreneur

Day 2 Dela Summit.

We followed up with Nani Zulminarni, and it was wonderful to talk to her about how she feels comfortable enough to share her challenges and how this has led to new ideas about what she and her organization can do to reach more women.

Allison Silva is glad to see how connected the Social Entrepreneurs are to each other and she feels like they can build a better world together. Allison talked about how she has grown a lot during the Dela Summit. She has learned how to accelerate her organization, and her life.

“One thing I’ve learned is that everyone is going through the same phases” - Neekalkanth Mishra, Social Entrepreneur

Wietse van der Werf’s main highlight from the Summit was the personal meetings with all the other entrepreneurs. These days have been a starting point and a big game-changer for his organization. Wietse is thankful to have been chosen to be a part of this collaboration and he is looking forward to presenting what they have achieved in six months from now.

We are curious and excited to follow all of the Social Entrepreneurs and see how their work will develop in the next few months. One thing that we realized today was how important it is to reflect on what you do and how you can learn from that. Now it's time for us to go back to Lund and our studies. The knowledge we gained from this trip is irreplaceable, and we are both so thrilled to have been a part of this beautiful and important collaboration.

You´ll hear from us in a couple of days when we have processed all our new learnings!

All the best,

Linnéa and Kim.
