What if some of the most consequential journalism happening right now isn't coming from a newsroom, but from ordinary people combing through satellite images, videos, and public records to uncover truths that would otherwise stay buried? UK-based Eliot Higgins started out with no formal training, just a blog, tracking weapons used in Syria's civil war from his living room. That blog became Bellingcat, now one of the world's most influential investigative organizations, training citizen journalists worldwide to use open-source and social media techniques for real accountability.
