Ashoka a Four-Star Organization -- But Don't Just Take Our Word for It, See for Yourself!

Story bubbles on world map
Origen: Ashoka

For the ninth consecutive year, Ashoka has earned Charity Navigator’s four-star rating for fiscal responsibility—the highest ranking achievable. Charity Navigator is the largest independent charity evaluator in America, analyzing the financial health of citizen sector organizations to help philanthropists make intelligent giving decisions.

In his letter sharing this news with Ashoka, President and CEO Ken Berger wrote, “Only 1% of the charities we rate have received at least 9 consecutive 4-star evaluations, indicating that Ashoka consistently executes its mission in a fiscally responsible way, and outperforms most other charities in America. This “exceptional” designation from Charity Navigator differentiates Ashoka from its peers and demonstrates to the public it is worthy of their trust.”

Organizations are evaluated based on their organizational capacity and efficiency, income statements, ratio of program expenditures to administrative and fundraising expenditures, and revenue intake trend. In order to earn a four-star rating, an organization must demonstrate that it is “exceptional” and “exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in its cause.”
