Alejandro Marius: a social enterprise to transform the work culture concept in Venezuela

Alejandro Marius – founder of Trabajo y Persona – is transforming the concept of the workplace as a painful necessity into a place of enjoyment and fulfillment in Venezuela.

Their objectives are three-fold :

  • To promote all activities that empower the person in his/her workplace in all sectors
  • To develop programs that strenghthen vocational/technical training, particularly for young people and vulnerable groups.
  • To promote a better dissemination of the concept of work culture.

Marius was elected Ashoka Fellow in 2009 as part of the program cohort led by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), Hystra and Ashoka to support social entrepreneurship in Latin America.
