Providing Skills to Restore the Ecology of the Central and Western Himalayas

Grassroots: The Pan-Himalayan Development Foundation systematically supports these groups at every stage of growth and serves a platform to facilitate the free flow of ideas and solutions regarding sustainable land use, appropriate technology, and technical skill transfers. By bringing the region's local groups together, Kalyan is creating create a movement pressing competently for ecological restoration across the western and central Himalayas. With their united strength, members of Grassroots’ network oversee the implementation of projects designed to promote environmental conservation, such as the installation of solar energy systems in urban centers in the western and central Himalayas.
