Ashoka Changemakers is looking for a Social Media Intern who will work directly with within the Digital Content Manager to publicize and promote Changemakers’ programs and partnerships, foster networks of social entrepreneurs and emerging innovators, and contribute to larger digital content strategy for the Changemakers brand.


The Social Media Intern will learn and contribute in a dynamic fast-paced environment with a dedicated team of Changemakers staff.


Responsibilities & Potential Projects:

  • Manage social media accounts, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

  • Research editorial content, including articles, videos, research, etc., to populate Changemakers’ social media platforms.

  • Create content for Changemakers’ social media platforms, blog, and newsletters.

  • Measure and evaluate Changemakers’ social media impact with key metrics and indicators.

  • Develop communication templates and tools, including an editorial calendar, that capture Changemakers communication processes.

  • Think big, try new things, and push boundaries of what’s possible.



  • Creative self-starter who is comfortable with taking initiative and working in collaboration across teams.

  • Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Undying passion for social media.

  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite, primarily Illustrator and Photoshop a plus.

Most importantly, we want interns to support Changemakers’ vision, and be able to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to their work while they are with Ashoka.

Candidates should maintain a positive attitude under pressure, exhibit a strong work ethic, and enjoy a wide-range of personalities. Most importantly the candidate should have a strong interest in making a social impact through social media.


This is an unpaid, part-time internship. Ideal candidates will dedicate d hours at the Ashoka Changemakers office a week, for 8-10 weeks.
