CHANGEMAKERS EXECUTIVE OFFICE INTERNSHIP

Description:

The Changemakers Executive Office Intern will work daily with the Executive partner doing strategic and tactical thinking to deliver the program goals.  The position will report directly to the Executive Partner and will support relationship building at leadership levels, perform research as a tool to support relationships and develop communication strategies for teams.   This is an excellent opportunity to get access to senior leadership at a leading global non-profit.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic research to support conversations with key organizational leaders

  • Prepare communications from the EP to the rest of the team

  • Research and support relationship building with industry leaders

  • Gather data and create communications to report progress, impact etc.

  • Attend key meetings with Executive Partner to capture and progress next steps

 

Requirements:    

  • Flexible and self-directed

  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit

  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment; willingness to adapt to changing objectives

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of and skills with Excel and Google spreadsheets rare a plus

  • Ability to operate well in a collaborative environment

  • Ability to work independently towards the accomplishment of goals

  • Detail oriented

  • Interest in international development and nonprofit issues

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, but please keep the following recommended timelines in mind. Internships are 8-10 weeks in duration but exact dates of internships are flexible:

 

Changemakers Intern Recruitment Schedule:

 

Spring Internships (Mid January – Late May)

Rolling Application Period: Early October – Late December

 

Summer Internships (Early June – Early August)

Rolling Application Period: Early December – Late February

 

Fall Internships (Late August – Mid December)

Rolling Application Period: Early May – Late July

 

Application Process: This is an unpaid, part-time internship. Ideal candidates will dedicate approximately 20 hours at the Ashoka Changemakers office a week, for 8-10 weeks.
