Amy started changemaking at age six. Inspired by her grandparents, she realized she could bring a community together through dance during a tense time of drought. Since then she has grown a passion for enabling people to be resilient architects of their own change. At Ashoka, Amy collaborates with the team and community on proposal writing, planning and execution of ecosystem wide events, and creating storytelling for changemaking and knowledge initiatives. Amy graduated from Carnegie Mellon University with a B.S. in International Relations and Politics, Policy and Management and a M.S. in Public Policy and Management in 2011 and 2012 respectively. In 2010, Amy co-founded Project Rwanda, a youth-led initiative to bridge education and technology in Kigali, Rwanda. One of her fondest experiences is creating a music band competition with primary school students in Kigali. Amy is ethnically from Gujarat, India. In her free time, Amy enjoys dancing, playing tennis, and cooking flavorfully.
