Alvaro Muniz

Alvaro J. Muñiz works for Ashoka’s Global Partnerships team. Previously, Alvaro worked for Ashoka’s US Venture & Integration team performing statistical data analysis and metrics, and the Talent Growth Initiative, a partnership between Ashoka and Accenture to skill the 21st century workforce. Prior to joining Ashoka, Alvaro worked for the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners on technology ecosystem initiatives. Alvaro founded Code Fest Miami, the first youth coding event throughout Miami-Dade County, uniting the technology sector, local government, and the public education sector to introduce computer coding to young students. Alvaro holds a B.A. in Political Science from Providence College and a J.D. from Saint Louis University School of Law. He is a graduate of Leadership Miami’s 35th Class. Currently residing in Washington, DC, Alvaro is originally from Miami, is fiercely proud of his Cuban heritage, and hopes to see the Miami Dolphins win a Super Bowl during his lifetime.
