Ashoka is the world's leading organization for Social Entrepreneurship and Changemaking. We are now looking for a driven, solutions-oriented, and creative Communications Trainee to join our Nordic team. This paid part-time internship includes a wide range of tasks relating to coordinating and supporting our communications work in the Nordic region.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND TASKS 

Working closely with our Nordic Communications Coordinator, you will be supporting our communications work across the Nordics. This includes:  

  • Assisting in the continued development and implementation of our Communications Strategy and digital platforms, including our content calendar & PR plan. 

  • Curating our annual Impact Report: gathering and collecting valuable impact data from our main working areas. 

  • Supporting in the content creation and strategy of our main communication activities (i.e. blog posts, website, organic posts & ads on social media, marketing KPIs and communication campaigns).

  • Interacting with our followers and closest community members by engaging with them on various platforms; 

  • Working in a value driven environment, developing tasks independently and contributing to a society where more people have the tools to initiate and manage social change and their ideas; 

  • Develop knowledge on global social innovation trends and how Ashoka fits into this globally; 

 

WHO CAN APPLY 

We are ideally looking for a person who has a Communications or Journalist education with excellent written and verbal communications skills in English. Swedish and/or Finnish language skills are valued, although not a must. It is a plus if you have a background in the field of social entrepreneurship or social innovation.  

In addition, you have experience working with communication, marketing, PR and/or social media and you have worked previously with Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator and/or Adobe Premiere Pro.  

We believe in flexible and remote working arrangements. The majority of the team is based in Stockholm and Helsinki; however, if it is difficult for you to travel there, we are happy to arrange for you to work remotely. This is a paid part-time internship role for three months, with the possibility for extension. We are happy to discuss flexible working with the right candidate, but candidates must commit to a minimum of 2 working days per week (ideally between 16-24 hours of work per week). 

Interviews will be conducted over Zoom on the 19th of November. Flexible start date between the end of November and beginning of December. (Candidates must be able to start by first week of December.)
