A new online knowledge gaming platform, “Giv” has a berth in the Sub Saharan Africa online space, and soon in the World.

The platform available on all of the web, the Google Play store and the iOS is specifically built to allow players to donate to their favorite NGO or charities by playing any of the available knowledge games.

The Charity and Donations focused gaming platform was launched on March 21, 2022 at an event attended by the media, NGOs and Ashoka as the first NGO to trust Giv and its mission. This initiative is a brainchild of IQ Infomedia Limited, a UK based entity working with Charitable organizations around the world and launching with Ashoka Africa, a leading NGO in Africa supporting an “Everyone a Changemaker” world, as the first adopter.

Speaking with the COO of IQ Infomedia, Mr. Fady Khatib, stated that the platform was designed for users to have the opportunity to give through an exciting and challenging experience that offers repetitive micro donations to charities and humanitarian causes. It also offers a crowdfunding approach to donating; but through a more fun, self-challenging, and intellectual medium. “From the discussion, we would bring up simple and enjoyable ways to support charities and humanitarian causes”, he added.

Commenting on the features of the platform, he disclosed that there will be trivia questions that you can play from the comfort of your living room and you can also be part of relevant discussion, where contributions can be made using voice chat.

Speaking on the partnership with Ashoka, he mentioned that the intention is to use the platform to impact lives by raising funds for social impact initiatives amongst Africans.

Speaking with Okey Uzoechina, Youth Years Global Leadership Group Member of Ashoka, Okey stated that the partnership with IQ Infomedia and the “Giv” platform was informed by the need to use technology to drive charities and lead the efforts towards changemaking in Africa and the world as a whole. He stressed that the platform would offer Africans regardless of age, the opportunity to play an active role in supporting charity efforts and create a forum to discuss and chat about all the issues affecting their well being as citizens.
