Building on the success of the 1st Globalizer on Economic Inclusion in Latin America we launched the 2nd round on this critical topic. Once again Ashoka has partnered with the Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC) to support social entrepreneurs in Latin America working for economic inclusion. The Globalizer Summit in Buenos Aires, from September 25-27 of 2015, brought together leading Ashoka Fellows with globally scalable innovations for poverty alleviation. Their solutions were market-driven,  tracking records and involving entire communities to alleviate poverty. Further topics that were built on at this Summit include strengthening financial mechanisms and corporative structures across the region to increase the impact of inclusive businesses.

These social influencers, willing to expand their innovation's impact beyond localized organizations, have varied strategies for increasing economic inclusion, such as:

• Angie Ferrazzini, whose initiative Sabe La Tierra fosters direct exchange between local producers, micro entrepreneurs and consumers, promoting the concept of agricultural sustainability and conscious consumption
• Javier Lozano, whose chain of Clinicas del Azúcar - by making use of advanced technology and diagnostic and treatment innovations - offers high-quality, yet affordable medical care to treat diabetes for populations that could otherwise not access it
• Michael Turner, whose organization PERC is leading a national and global effort to dramatically increase financial inclusion by promoting the responsible use of regular non-financial payment and other data in existing credit assessment tools
• Vicente Fenoll, whose platform kubo.financiero represents the first financial community in Mexico specialized in Crowdfunding and Peer to Peer (P2P) Lending and is regulated by the National Banking and Securities Commission

The Globalizer Summit in Argentina matched these "ready to globalize" economic inclusion models with the strategic resources they need to rapidly and effectively achieve continental and global scale.

After the September's Globalizer Summit, the participating Ashoka Fellows will build their scaling strategies with an advisory team of senior business executives and strategy consultants. At the Summit itself, global business leaders will meet with Fellows and critically analyze their scaling strategies while also offering Fellows the strategic support and insight needed to enable these innovations to increase their impact dramatically.

The Summit's Ecosystem Day took a broader view by having participants explore barriers faced by economic inclusion initiatives while scaling their impact. A broad alliance of various stakeholders brainstormed together on how existing gaps in the support ecosystem could be filled.
