Fellow since 1991
This description of Eduardo Valle Espinosa's work was prepared when Eduardo Valle Espinosa was elected to the Ashoka Fellowship in 1991.

Eduardo is setting out to protect journalists from their most serious occupational disease in Latin America: physical aggression, including assassination, as a result of their investigative and reporting activities. Eduardo's idea is to establish a human rights center that would offer legal protection to journalists who have suffered aggressions as a result of their work.
