Connecting for career success
by Katherine Boothby No stranger to working, Nathaniel Scott had been steadily employed since the age of 15. He found success through his work performance and moved into management positions in his varied occupations, even while completing university studies in psychology. Scott’s first challenge arose when he realized his chosen area of study was not the career path he wanted to pursue. Unfortunately, it also was during a time of economic hardship in his home province of Alberta. “A lot of those ahead of me in university who had taken a traditional career path had been laid off or were unable to find work,” he said. “I needed to discover my passions and find a place where my interests, work experience, and education could intersect.”
