Mélanie is the founder and CEO of SoScience, an organization harnessing the power of science and technology to generate positive impacts for the people and the planet. Through her passion for exploring the intersection of science and global impact, she became a recognized expert on the field of Responsible Research and Innovation. She published her first book on the topic in 2017.

She is an Echoing Green Fellow (2017), Ashoka Fellow (2018) and won the 2018 Grinnell College Innovator for Social Justice Prize. She is an expert at the European level regarding responsible innovation policies and programs to facilitate science with and for society

Giulia Sergi is European Program Manager at Ashoka, a global NGO the selects and supports the world’s leading social entrepreneurs and innovators (Ashoka Fellows).

She is an expert in Systems Change strategies and multi-stakeholder collaborations. She co-leads the Ashoka Europe Fellowship program and her work consists in supporting Ashoka Fellows to strengthen their strategies and scale their impact and in influencing the ecosystem around social innovators.

Stefania has 10 years of experience in Marketing and Innovation in Africa & Europe. She holds a diploma in Management of Public Administrations from Bocconi Business School and a master in Alternative Management from ESCP Europe and HEC Paris.

Stefania started her career by working on social business projects in Senegal and in Algeria for the social business investment fund created by Danone with Professor Yunus, founder of the Grameen Bank. She then worked for 5 years for Danone Innovation Incubators, where she lead the launch of new brands and services. Stefania is passionate about Social Innovation, and is now co-leading the Ashoka office in Switzerland.
