About Ara

By finding her power at the age of 10, Ara is embarking on a lifetime of changemaking.

Ara is a serial social entrepreneur. At the age of 10, her love of cows inspired her to integrate sustainable cattle farming practices in Sukorejo Village, Boyolali, Central Java, Indonesia. Integrating the farmers, the experts, and the government, this project developed every single resources that a cow has, increasing dairy production in a more sustainable way. In the four years that followed, her team brought together 150 farmers, testing the new approaches and spreading what worked for the benefit of all. Ara's power encouraged her to launch TeenChanger with other young leaders, which is a 3-day experience that takes teenagers through the stages of changemaking to launch their own solutions for social change. These ventures sparked way for sustianable ecotourism, and she started URTravelearner, a travelearning project to help youth envision changemaker lives by seeing social entrepreneurs in action. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ara launched Aha!, a social initiative that provides tools for creative and fun learning at home for underprivileged children in Indonesia. By finding her power at the age of 10, Ara is embarking on a lifetime of changemaking.

Today, Ara is also co-leading the development of Ashoka Young Changemakers in Indonesia. She supports young people aged 12-20 who have started their own initiatives for addressing social/environmental problems they care deeply about, are activating others to create positive change, and leading the Everyone a Changemaker movement in their countries.
