Credible accountability for atrocities such as war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity requires criminal justice professionals, trained to work internationally, who can be on the spot rapidly to obtain and preserve evidence. Yet national and international institutions often cannot find people with such specialized training quickly. As a lawyer and diplomat, Andras saw how a lack of quality investigations was undermining the effectiveness of international justice, and set out to change it. JRR provides criminal justice professionals rapidly, wherever needed, to help ensure investigations and fact finding missions are credible, impartial and prompt.

This description of Andras Vamos-Goldman's work was prepared when Andras Vamos-Goldman was elected to the Ashoka Fellowship in 2015.
Andras has created a new strategy and instrument to tip the criminal justice sector and build a new culture of delivery to bring justice for the world's worst crimes. He is leading to a paradigm shift in international investigations, improved global standards, increased local ownership over investigations and the justice process, and new channels for global cooperation.
