We are happy to announce our two Early Entry Winners! These Early Entry winners were chosen from 100 entries that were submitted to the QBE Urban Resilience Challenge which is a nation-wide social innovation competition seeking entrepreneurs leveraging technology to transform city ecosystems. Recognizing the urgent need to build urban resilience, QBE North America and Ashoka are embarking on a unique collaboration to seek out and support innovators across the United States whose ventures contribute to building thriving, resilient cities that can effectively manage and respond to physical, economic, and social threats.

The Early entry winners are CITYFLAG and GRILLO

Cityflag connects local governments with residents through the first social platform for city services. They have put to work an approximate of $9M in taxpayer dollars in city infrastructure repairs. Do you want to know how they do that? Visit https://cityflag.co/

Grillo uses their proprietary sensors and alarms to warn people that an earthquake is arriving, and also let them know if their building is damaged after. Do you want to learn more about their technology? Visit https://grillo.io/es/

Both ventures are going to receive business coaching from QBE North América Employees and Ashoka staff.
