During the week of February 2nd, 2009, Ashoka and social news site NewsTrust are joining forces to look for the best news coverage about education around the world. You're invited to participate in this exciting News Hunt, as described below.

NewsTrust helps people find good journalism online, so they can make more informed decisions as citizens. NewsTrust's founder, Fabrice Florin, was just elected an Ashoka Fellow in 2008. The NewsTrust social news network features a daily feed of quality news and opinions from mainstream and independent sources, based on ratings from reviewers- which include experienced journalists as well as citizens like you.

  For this Education News Hunt, NewsTrust and Ashoka communities will review news and opinion on a wide range of education-related topics, from early childhood to lifelong learning, global literacy and digital learning. We anticipate this pilot project to be the first in a series of topic-oriented joint efforts, which we hope can lead to a special online knowledge channel dedicated to social change.
