FEC MBA Internship Program
Every year Full Economic Citizenship (FEC) recruits top MBA students to support Ashoka Fellows—entrepreneurs who are pioneering Hybrid Value Chains™ (HVC) around the globe. In the past, students have worked closely with social entrepreneurs and Ashoka teams in countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, India, Turkey, South Africa. All positions will require business acumen in areas such as business strategy, marketing, finance, and business development.
In previous years, HVC interns have:
- Designed a replication strategy for a partnership between Colombian Fellow Haidy Duque and Colceramica that makes high quality, low cost tiles available to low income consumers;
- Negotiated an agreement for Indian Fellow Muthu Velayuthum with British Petroleum to distribute biomass stoves to rural populations; and
- Analyzed the low income housing market in Eygpt in preparation for Ashoka's launch of a Hybrid Value Chain pilot project.
The HVC internship program leaves a lasting impact on the social entrepreneurs and their organizations, as well as the intern. Learn more about the requirements and how to apply.

"What makes the Ashoka HVC graduate program matchless is that rare, exquisite combination of knowing you are working towards something big, systemic, getting the thrill of the action as you drive from village to village in a car without air-conditioning, and of constantly being pushed beyond your limits by that inspiring restlessness that is so common to all social entrepreneurs."
— Linda Peia Harvard Kennedy School of Government ‘07
“I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Ashoka office for their support that significantly benefited the development, consolidation, and growth of the Fellows' organizations. Also, we would like to recognize their professionalism, dedication, commitment, and, above all, their capacity to adapt to the rhythms and vigor that Sarah always demonstrated.”
— Haidy Duque, Ashoka Fellow, Colombia
