Brazil
Brazil is the largest program in the Ashoka network in terms of number of Fellows and programs. It was also Ashoka's first program in Latin America, with Fellow elections beginning in 1986. The São Paulo office oversees the search and selection process of Fellows as well as Ashoka Fellowship activities. More than 200 active Ashoka Fellows are in Brazil and we elect between 15 to 20 new ones each year.
The Ashoka-McKinsey Center for Social Entrepreneurship (CSE), based São Paulo, in works in the interface between the social and private sectors in Brazil and globally.
